This year paying the EOY Prizepool fee will be optional.

A Player may choose to pay for the EOY Prizepool fee one game and then not the next. It is entirely up to them.

If a Player pays for the EOY Prizepool fee and then Re-Enters into the same Tournament, then the Player MUST pay the EOY Prizepool fee for the Re-Entry.

If a Player does NOT pay for the EOY Prizepool fee and then Re-Enters into the same Tournament, then the Player CANNOT pay the EOY Prizepool fee for the Re-Entry.

A Buy-In and a Re-Entry in the same Tournament only qualifies as ONE game.

To qualify for the End of Year Grand Final to be held on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th December 2023, a Player must play a minimum of 12 games.

The following games in any combination are designated as EOY Prizepool fee games:
Thursday night - $70 Buy-In (plus optional $5 fee)
Friday night - $140 Buy-In (plus optional $10 fee)
Sunday arvo - $280 Buy-In (plus optional $20 fee) (Sunday $550 Buy-In games do not qualify for points)

Points accrue from Thursday 5th of January 2023 up to Thursday 14th of December 2023, for the End of Year Grand Final.

Points awarded are based on the number of Players who entered the Tournament (Buy-Ins AND Re-Entries) multiplied by the Total cost of the Tournament Buy-In divided by 4.

To calculate approx how many chips each Player will be awarded:

Enter the Buy-In Amount.         e.g Thurday $75, Friday $150 or Sunday $300 (these amounts include the EOY points fee.)
Enter number of Players.       (Total of all Buy-Ins AND Re-Entries)

Points for a Re-Entry (when applicable)


In addition, extra points are awarded to the 9 Players who make it to Final Table as follows:

1st Place:
2nd Place:
3rd Place:
4th Place:
5th Place:
6th Place:
7th Place:
8th Place:
9th Place:

All points accrued will be used as your Starting Stack for the End of Year Grand Final, rounded UP to the nearest 100.

There will be NO  Add-On for this years Grand Final.

All chips of Players who have qualified, will be tabled for 2 hours and if a Player has not attended by this point in time (unless they have advised us that they are running late), then that Players chips will be removed from play.

If a Player advises that they are unable to attend prior to the event, then those chips will not be tabled.

The following amounts will be added on for each Event to contribute to the End of Year Prizepool.

Thursday night $70 (1 Re-Entry):
PLUS $5 from each Buy-In and/or Re-Entry.
Friday night $140 (1 Re-Entry):
PLUS $10 from each Buy-In and/or Re-Entry. No money will be deducted from the Add-On.
Sunday arvo $280 Freezeout:
PLUS $20 from each Buy-In.
Sunday arvo $550 Freezeout:
This game is a NON points game.

New Years Series Tournaments or Special Tournaments on other days/nights, do not qualify for points and do not count towards the 12 game total.

Satellite Tournaments do not qualify for points and do not count towards the 12 game total.


A Trophy will be awarded to the Winner of the End of Year Grand Final.

Brisbane Poker United reserve the right to amend any conditions.

Subject to State Government Health Regulations that are applicable.
