For 2025, we have kept the 3 Grand Finals, one each for the Thursday, Friday and Sunday Games.
A Buy-In and a Re-Entry in the same Tournament only qualifies as ONE game.
To qualify:
A Player must play a minimum of 8 games for the THURSDAY EOY Grand Final to be held on Saturday 22nd of November & Sunday 23rd of November 2025.
A Player must play a minimum of 8 games for the FRIDAY EOY Grand Final to be held on Saturday 29th of November & Sunday 30th of November 2025.
A Player must play a minimum of 8 games for the SUNDAY EOY Grand Final to be held on Saturday 6th of December & Sunday 7th of December 2025.
ONLY Players in the Top 100 will qualify for each Grand Final.
In the event of a tie of an identical amount of chips after the last qualifying game, a Player with the least number of games played shall qualify.
(Total Points divided by Games Played divided by 100 = Players percentage)
In the event of a tie of identical percentage, then both Player/s shall qualify.
Games from different Days cannot be added together.
Players may play any or all Grand Finals, subject to the qualification criteria.
Cost for games during 2024 are as follows:
Thursday night - $100 Buy-In/Re-Entry (includes $9 points fee and $1 EOY costs)
Friday night - $200 Buy-In/Re-Entry (includes $18 points fee and $2 EOY costs)
Sunday arvo - $400 Buy-In/Re-Entry (includes $36 points fee and $4 EOY costs) ALL Sunday games are now $400.
Based on 2024 Player numbers, Prize Pools are expected to be:
Thursday - $50k, Friday - $70k and Sunday - $90k.
2025 season lasts for 44 weeks:
Thursday EOY Grand Final Points accrue from Thursday 9th of January 2025 up to Thursday 13th of November 2025.
Friday EOY Grand Final Points accrue from Friday 10th of January 2025 up to Friday 14th of November 2025.
Sunday EOY Grand Final Points accrue from Sunday 12th of January 2025 up to Sunday 16th of November 2025.
Points will be allocated differently for 2025 and be based on the following 4 criteria:
1. A BUY-IN will receive 10 times the cost of the Buy-In.
Thursday, 1,000 Points, Friday, 2,000 Points, Sunday, 4,000 Points.
2. A Re-ENTRY will receive half of that amount.
Thursday, 500 Points, Friday, 1,000 Points, Sunday, 2,000 Points.
3. Each Player will receive additional Points on a sliding scale, based on the Position they
finished in the Tournament, from First to Last,
calculated by deducting the number of players still in when you bust
from the number of Buy-Ins and multiplying that number by the cost of the Tournament.
e.g. In a $200 Buy-In Tournament with 72 Runners, you finish in 25th position.
(72 Buy-Ins - 24 Players remaining = 48) 48 x $200. You receive 9,600 Additional points.
4. Additionally, Players who make it to Final Table will receive extra Points based on 80%
of the calculations used in 2024.
